  • If you are new to the class look at the previous post titled stuff to do before Class 2.
  • Please make sure you complete the readings. Here’s what I posted on Mighybell.
  • I’ve sent you a Twitter handbook for your information.https://mightybell.com/communities/edpt200f15/posts/735609
  • Login in to Mighybell website http://bit.ly/edpt200f15. Once this is done go to the Class Two reflection/blog. This should be ideally completed before the start of class 3.
  • Create your Twitter account, if you haven’t done so already and follow me @sam_bruzzese. If you can’t do this don’t worry we’ll do it in class.
  • Please bring your laptop and/or tablet to class every week. This class as we will be completing our second lab exercise.

If you were absent the first class you need to join the REMIND. I sent out the instructions via your McGill email. If you don’t have them please email me and I will send them again.

Since there’s been an influx of new students. Here’s quick catch up for anyone who missed class 1 and/or 2:

  • The main thing is to make sure you have the readings for class 3 completed BEFORE class.
  • For class 1:
    • rent textbook online (http://edpt200.mcgill.ca)
    • buy Standing in the Gap bookstore and bring to class
  • For class 2:
    • create Twitter account and complete http://twitteredpt200. Don’t do this until you ask your classmates on Monday for a quick explanation.
    • In the —> stuff to do for class three I’ve linked the 2 videos (Michale Wesch & UQAM Lip-Dup) we watched in class. Please write about the contrasting view of the students. What do you think of each video? Why did I show them in class? What are they saying about technology, about today’s students, etc.
    • Finally I showed Jimmy Fallon & Justin T #hashtag video an an intro to Twitter and the Twitter lab activity.
