What is Meaningful Learning?

-Buy textbook & USB stick (2 gig ~ should do it). Bring them to every class (with earphones).
-Create an account on Ning (http://edpt 200.ning.com) Pick a format, add a picture & make it pretty!
-Join the Journal Fall 09 group on Ning.
Create you first blog or post on the following: 1.) Brief bio about yourself (hobbies, interests, family, program, etc.) ~ catch my attention! 2.) Why are you taking the course (fun, required, love technology, hate technology etc.) 3.) What do you think you will learn in the class? What do you hope to learn? 4.) Any concerns or questions for me? 5.) Read the textbook's preface before next class. 6.) -read ISTE revised profile & standards for students and teachers and administrators. 7.) Bring a picture (real or digital) of yourself to next class. You can probably grab one from your Facebook page :) |

-post your reflection on Ning. Make sure you make the connection between class acitivity, the chapter reading and the article you just read on concept mapping.
-go to the forum section on our Ning website, please respond the the question. Look at each other's answers.
-complete lab assignment 1 on Inspiration. Download the program at home, play with the program & explore the Inspiration website. Look at 50 uses for Inspiration & Kidspiration.
-please bring textbook & earphones & your USB stick to the next class.

-read chapter 6 (pp. 100-120), be prepared to discuss questions sent to you by your group leader. Look over booklet prepared by Alan November "Workshop Supplementary Handbook". This is a good resource to use over the next couple of weeks.
-send in weekly reflection (blog or journal) summarize chapter, talk about class activity, visit the web sites mentioned in the chapter and be use to comment on the site in this week's journal. The journal should be titled Journal 3.
-complete lab assignment 2 (homepage template) & upload work
