The Web allows you to bring into your classroom timely and colorful information that wasn't often seen or heard in schools before. But how do you teach with it? Simply asking your students to read web pages doesn't guarantee that learning will take place.

This module will introduce you to WebQuests, a simple lesson design for teaching with the Web. When you've completed this module, you'll be able to:

  • describe the critical elements of a WebQuest;
  • evaluate WebQuests created by other teachers;
  • design a simple short-term WebQuest of your own

I will go through a quick intro on the topic of WebQuests.
The sites shown in the intro will include:

The WebQuest Page
WebQuest Templates
Dolphin Safe Tuna
Mexico City Earthquake
Radio Days

Next, you will learn about WebQuests by experiencing a WebQuest about WebQuests. Your instructor We will look at elementary ,high school and humanities examples.
